The Maine Adventure Sails Mission - Creating a Family Sailing Vacation Experience
Our mission is to utilize our historic windjammers, in one of America's most acclaimed sailing destinations, in a positive and safe manner. We strive to create a family-focused adventure experience where an easy and comfortable camaraderie and great food create lasting impressions in the lives of our guests. We believe in fostering true relaxation and appreciation for all that is good in life and in the importance of reconnecting with self, family, and friends.
Based in Rockport, Rockland, and Maine, Maine Adventure Sails was formed in 2006 by the Captains of the Schooner Timberwind and Schooner J & E Riggin. With more than 80 years of cumulative sailing experience and a strong desire to create sailing adventures centered on families, close friends, and self, Maine Adventures Sails was born.
Longtime members and supporters of the Maine Windjammer Association, this collaboration provides us with an authentic business platform that is unique to our individual and corporate business needs and philosophies. Being a true Mom and Pop business,
allows us to be nimble and use a grass-roots approach to marketing, and building customer loyalty. It will not only enhance our ability to improve the experience we proudly offer our customers, it will allow us to fulfill the desires that are our common calling... raising spirits, enlivening the senses, and sharing our love of sailing in Maine.
We set very high standards for the operation of our vessels, our crews, and the sailing experience you will have. We actively work with local businesses to help foster tourism on the coast of Maine and strive to leave a small footprint on the environment through economic support to our local communities. This is truly our
passion, and we look forward to sharing it with you!
